HIROMI, THE VOICE THAT NEVER SPEAKS…

Hiromi Uehara is one of our preferred artists at the moment (actually quite a long moment now). She’s been Chick Corea’s muse when she was 17, then mentored by Ahmad Jamal, into jazz since the age of 8. According to her website, she « believes that the voice that never speaks can sometimes be the most powerful of all ». When she released «VOICE», in June 2011, she said: « When I play music, I realize that it really filters emotions. I called this album Voice because I believe that people’s real voices are expressed in their emotions. It’s not something that you really say. It’s more something that you have in your heart. Maybe it’s something you haven’t said yet. Maybe you’re never going to say it. But it’s your true voice. Instrumental music is very similar. We don’t have any words or any lyrics to go with it. It’s the true voice that we don’t really put into words, but we feel it when it’s real.»

Awesome, our very style . A few more are following, in various styles. Whenever possible, we’ll privilege private sessions & jams (so sometimes image is low def), when all stops are pulled out & inspiration’s the only guide. We hope you’ll enjoy & share with us this passion for the decisive moment.
